-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I have an HDAMB system running SuSE SLES8 and k_smp-2.4.19-256. I've installed some memory (up to 3Gig now) which got me wondering about the ECC capabilities of the memory. Does Linux enable error correcting and do the scrubbing/handling (and logging too, I guess) of correctable memory errors? There is a setting in the BIOS that is marking ECC disabled, what is the proper (and optimal) set of settings for a rioworks HDAMB to get the most out of this ECC w/ Linux installed? Thanks for the info, - -- Steve Williams "The woods are lovely, dark and deep. steve at icarus.com But I have promises to keep, http://www.icarus.com and lines to code before I sleep, http://www.picturel.com And lines to code before I sleep." -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFAIriNrPt1Sc2b3ikRAumIAKCRpD7ogrymvEVvwxDdC2OolaMaCACcCz6S W1xh+0D0s+rBwJ7+NyrjuJ8= =XatD -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
