Hi, I am running SLSE8 for AMD64 on my dual Opteron box, during the installation of some appliction, MPICH2 is needed. I downloaded the latest version of MPICH2-beta, and found that python-xml is needed for MPICH2, I got python-xml-2.3-49.x86_64.rpm from SuSE 9, but python-xml -2.4-49.x86_64.rpm requires libc.so.6 (GLIBC 2.3), however, my system has only GLIBC 2.25-213. Is there any safe way to upgrade to GLIBC 2.3 from GLIBC 2.25-213 without interfere the whole system? Thanks for any help. Rebuild python-xml in the SLES8 system... An upgrade to glibc 2.3 is not what something you like to do... Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, aj@suse.de, http://www.suse.de/~aj SuSE Linux AG, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126
