Hy everyone! I'am new with Suse but not in Linux. Now Im dealing with Suse 9.2 x86_64, over dual XEON of 3.0 GHZ. Im not sure if its a distribution rigth, for this Xeon is x86_64 or IA64 ? Im having a lot of segfults of different process like: mysql, http2-fork, sshd, etc.

Xeon is x86-64.

That shouldn't happen, it might be hardware related. Either broken hardware or the 9.2 kernel does not work good enough with your hardware,

Xeon is x86-64.
Thats right. Intel implemented the AMD Athlon 64 extension to the Xeon and named it EM64T - IA64 is for Itanium processors.

It's also possible that - if you updated from a previous version - you got mixed up with some versions - regarding neccesary libraries for example. I experienced that with a productive system I updated from 6.2 to 9.2. I tried several things until I decided to give a damn about what would be the "correct and better solution" and saved the configuration files and set up the whole system from new.
But I also agree with what Andreas expects - Segfaults are a very good hint that your ram could be damaged --> Try booting from the SuSE installation media and run memtest86. If that all does not work, i would try a more actual version. If that fails too, free some space on your disk, create a new partition and install there from new - if this also fails - something on your mainboard could be damaged or even the cpu.
