Antwort: Re: [suse-amd64] Installation stops anyhow although using the new burned ISO-CD
Hy Andreas,
Your BIOS is broken, Add "idle=poll" to the command line or disable USB legacy support in the BIOS. Then continue with the new PatchCD, which should get you further.
I've reached the next step (YAST !!): After starting with the new Patch CD using the "idle=poll" parameter the installation didn't cancel and went now on running YAST. But I stopped the installation because YAST reported that there were no HDs found. What now ? Any ideas how I can go on. Does it make sense to update the bios version from 1002 to 1004 ? Regards Francisco

Which controller are you using? Andreas

Depends on what's fixed - but I would try it... Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, aj@suse.de, http://www.suse.de/~aj SuSE Linux AG, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126
