Hi All, Here is an idea.... I had seven delegates yesterday in a workshop installing and configuring openSUSE 11.3, What happed was that the delegates was doing their A+ and N+ certification... They told me that they got more information in the workshop than in a regular training campus and they want more hands on workshops. So this made me think is there a way we can create a sort of University where School leavers and Graduates can do a Certificate in openSUSE and from there they can springboard to a CLA/CLP/CLE certification? What is your view? Johann
Sounds like a great idea :) Regards, Ish On Fri, 2010-12-10 at 09:51 +0000, Johann Els wrote:

AFAIK, we already have Novell Cerified Linux Engineer training courses. I can tell you it requires a _lot_ of money for brand promotion, syllabus, questions, exams etc. Sankar -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-ambassadors+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-ambassadors+help@opensuse.org

I feel that setting up such a program is far too involved for us. to have a real certificate, we would need to come up with: * training material * tests * certification program for trainers * certification of single trainers Btw. this should be discussed on the marketing list, let's followup there, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, Program Manager openSUSE, aj@{novell.com,opensuse.org} Twitter: jaegerandi | Identica: jaegerandi SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-ambassadors+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-ambassadors+help@opensuse.org
