Guys, We are wanting to put together for OSC10 and then later on the Ambassador Page, a video that has Ambassador from all over the work speaking in their native tongue some like. Hello, I am <name>. I am an openSUSE user. -or- I am <name>. I am Geeko. Some phrase we can can agree on. The sooner the better so we can get them to someone to edit and put together. The videos should be a less than minute. Let show the world, who are the folks that make up openSUSE community. Please we need to address work on this as soon as possible, OSC10 is next week. At the booth? about 100 5. three most asked questions/topics at booth? 5.1 What is the future of the openSUSE after Novell era? 5.2 What is a big differences between Ubuntu and openSUSE? 5.3 Looking for education community in Hungary 6. What was the most interesting comment, question, talk you heard? Few people thought that Ubuntu slowly kill the Linux ecosystem as they focus on the services (e.g. Ubuntu One) rather than Linux development - upstream project (kernel, gnome, OOo) - btw, I totally agree 7. What was the most interesting comment, question, talk you heard? My booth was big contrast comparing to fedora booth, I just could bring DVDs, but they had complete booth. Hi everyone, here is my report: Event: Software Freedom Day - Chile. Date: September 25th, 2010. Location: University of Talca, VII, Chile. 1. how many DVDs did you take? 100. 2. How many DVDs did you distribute? 100. 3. how many people where at the event? Around 300 guests. 4. At the booth? Around 150 persons. 5. three most asked questions/topics at booth? 5.1 What's openSUSE? 5.2 What's the main difference between openSUSE and others (usually Ubuntu)? 5.3 How good is hardware support on openSUSE? 6. What was the most interesting comment, question, talk you heard? Some people was expecting some kind of flyer about openSUSE, because sometimes I wasn't at the booth and people was needing information. 7. Will you blog about the event - and where? I'm not a blogger but actually I made some tweets. 8. Who staffed the booth? My wife, our little daughter and me. My daughter and I were dressing up openSUSE t-shirts so some people came to the booth because of that (she looked very funny) ;-) 9. Did you have a talk? Yes, I had one. 10. Which topic? open-source and free software on education. I talked about openSUSE Li-f-e. 11. Will you provide slides for others to use? Of course!!! openSUSE team at Xariseto.gr Free Festival-Report

At October the 3rd we participated at the xariseto Free Festival.We were placed between Greeklug and the Fedora community Project. A few words about the event: The event had everything an Free open fest could have,music,theatrical teams ,places for kids to learn through games, free coffee, free clothes,free games and any other kind of items people stopped use and wanted to give away to others instead of throwing them away as garbage,also after the event what people didn’t take the xarise to team gathered it and gave it to institutions. Our presence there: Our Community was represented by Kostas Koudaras (warlordfff) and we had with us dvd's, stickers and flyers with information about our community.We expected more people but the weather was cloudy and not many people left their houses to come at the event.We gave away around 60-70 dvd's but we talked with all 60-70 people and at least 80% showed us real interest on trying openSUSE. Also a big percentage of them were either businessman, either experienced window's user's that were looking for their getaway to Linux operating Systems and needed help for it. Also there were some site admins that asked for our help at the creation of a FOSS section at their Sites.
