Hi,

Elesar:~ # hostname -f

Elesar:~ # hostname -d

Elesar:~ # hostname -y

Elesar:~ # hostname -A

Elesar:~ # hostname
Elesar
Elesar:~ #

Just a guess there is a mismatch between what you set as your hostname and
what is found in /etc/hosts

My approach

# hostname yourhostname
# echo yourhostname > /etc/hostname

# vi /etc/hosts

(make it match and set the domain part here)

In the new systemd arena there is also hostnamectl that allows you to set
the hostname there. Thus far, I've just stuck to the old ways.
