yes. I don't see any way to know *for sure* any interface speed, if you don't trust the maker's notes... apart trying

the example I give was caddy ssd, full sata is

# hdparm -t /dev/sdb

/dev/sdb:
Timing buffered disk reads: 1600 MB in 3.00 seconds = 532.77 MB/sec

that is 4256 Mbits/s, makes it reasonable to think the bus is 6Gb/s (the caddy is 2152 Mb/s, so 3Gb seems reasonable)
