Hmm, why that? (Sorry, I'm not really a HW expert...)
It does run (Coffeelake with DDR4) and except for that reboot in SMP mode I
didn't spot obvious errors or malfunctioning...

With UEFI, I can only get 7.x to work.

Indeed I couldn't get the 5.01 ISO/USB images to boot with it, but delivered
via GRUB or PXE-boot it does.
