Still, dhcp/bootp + PXE + tftp. Once you're executing under PXE, what
you download can do whatever you want. That is the whole idea.

Years ago, diskless work stations, that downloaded the OS etc. from a
server were common.  These days, we have VoIP phones that can download
the config by using TFTP on boot up.
