As Carlos suggested, use dd_rhelp to recover the recoverable. Forget badblocks, if you really want to try to make the disk usable for a short time, smartctl -t long /dev/sdx and use hdparm --write-sector on the first reported bad sector (you might need to repeat),

This is not feasible, he has to repeat the operation 131 times. It is better to run badblocks: it may run for a day, and if lucky, it may trigger the relocation itself (has happened to me).
