It wasn't really a deliberate omission, I think it was the change to

I guess we'll

need someone to volunteer to amend the process and have Live images

I should do some training on a non productive system, but to be honest, grub
never screwed up with me for a long time. So I did not expect problems

It isn't that hard from cli, once booted from any install medium, one only has
to know the /dev/sdX# entry for root.:
mount /dev/sdX# /mnt
mount --bind /dev /mnt/dev
mount --bind /proc /mnt/proc
mount --bind /sys /mnt/sys
chroot /mnt

Only one "but" .... the install medium needs to have to same architecture as
the installed system.
