to power off, you have to run "poweroff" :-)

poweroff and halt are both symlinked to "systemctl":

# l /sbin/halt /sbin/poweroff
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 18 Jun 30 16:33 /sbin/halt -> /usr/bin/systemctl*
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 18 Jun 30 16:33 /sbin/poweroff -> /usr/bin/systemctl*

Still, if that has changed the documented behaviour of "halt -p", it ought
to be fixed.
