I suspect you're talking about different things. You're talking about
what you get from your ISP and Adam is talking about what the servers
you connect to will allow. Quite different things. Don't forget, if
it's a popular site, then there may be several other connections at the
same time as yours. You'll have to share the server's bandwidth with
those others.
