backup-restore ;-)

to keep this remark, every body knows any backup is unusefull is one
can't test the restore (?).

but how do you test this restore? For data it's pretty easy to restore
in a temporary place, but for system?

You can not, unless you really try to restore your system from scratch.
A full backup procedure includes grub and partition table, so it means
total destruction. Actually, you have to destroy completely your system
prior to testing the backup, to verify that it can really recover the
system from really scratch.

You only do this on expensive systems, if they pay for the test. Or if
you are a hobbyist on your own time. Not many more.
