PDF.
Actually there was series of .odt and .pdf, but I've lost all of
them. (Don't ask) but if I can reconstitute one .odt I might be
able to derive the others.

I find it easier to simply create a new document, but perhaps
pasting
text from the PDF file.

There is a pdf to text converter somewhere.

pdftotext is contained in the package poppler-tools

Also can save as text from Okular if your using KDE.

Forgot it is under File --> Export

I used it yesterday, only you have to sometimes play with the text.
sequence if graphics are in the document.
I pasted a multi page document this was from the saved text to LO
writer.
