Oh, one other thing about 1.11.2 (not sure if it applies to 1.10.5) is that
wireshark no longer needs to run as root in order to capture packets. As long
as /usr/bin/dumpcap is either 1) installed SUID (not a good idea), 2) has
appropriate capablities set via setcap or 3) has a separate dumpcap user/group
created with the appropriate capabilities, the gui can run as an unprivileged
user. This is much better IMHO.
