Ok, but the proposal of using cp or cat to create the stick is for the openSUSE stick, not any other.

The question is if you run the cp or cat sequence on an already running Knoppix machine (or whatever Linux) can create an openSUSE stick, or if it fails.

It is never suggested you create a Knoppix stick.
