[opensuse] Creating the distro USB stick with a simple 'cp'

Hi,

A chap at the forums had failed to create the usb stick for installation following several published procedures. But he succeeded with this one:

# cp image.iso /dev/sdX
# sync

And that's it! No more 'dd', or imagewrite, whatever. Just a cp to the raw device, umounted.

Someone can explain why it works? Or why it should not work?

Do we want to plublish this method on our wiki (for 13.1)? :-)
