If you need any such thing it will be a bug in mkinitrd, it must detect by itself what ATA drivers are needed for the machine to boot,regardless what INITRD_MODULES has.

mkinitrd creates initrd not suitable to machine--> BUG, BUG, BUG ! ;)

YaST created those two entries, not me :-)
