Grasping at straws - write a little program that allocates e.g. 30Gb of
memory and keeps trawling through it (to keep it from being
paged/swapped out). Add a 1sec pause per 1Gb to keep it from maxing out
a core. That'll keep your filesystems cache fairly low.
Alternatively, yank some of those DIMM sticks.
