i had just noticed the same message; uninstalling NetworkManager helps ;-)
(I don't understand what causes the message; calling
systemctl status NetworkManager.service
as suggested did not clarify things for me.)

Howdy,

When I boot up my desktop (box #1 below), right before it goes into kdm, as
I am watching all the services startup, one of the last ones that comes up
is this:

Failed to start Network Manager ...................[ [1;31mFAILED [0m]
See 'systemctl status NetworkManager.service' for details.
Dependency failed. Aborted start of Network Manager Wait Online .....[
[1;31m ABORT [0m]

That is copied from the boot log (I added in the dots for clarity).

I am not using network manger on this pc, as I just use ifup and configure
it in yast. What sort of thing should I do in order to not have one of the
startup scripts fail?
