My Acer Aspire One internal mic is not working properly.

When I try "arecord teste.wav" it can't get any sound. But when I run
"arecord -f dat teste.wav" it works.
In applications the mic is not working.
Anyone knows how to fix it?

Btw, external mic works normally.
Check the mixer. There is a setting for the input source and that is likely
set to the external mic.

I am coming in into this thread without knowing what was already written so far.

Pulseaudio sits ON TOP of alsa. You need to configure also first and then use pavucontrol to set pulseaudio.

First Install alsamixer; run it in a terminal; first thing you do is to press F5 to be able to see all the settings, then press F6 and select your sound card; then go thru and mute/unmute - ie unselect(mute)/select the channels using the key "m". While doing this make sure that you have something running which would allow you to use your microphone so that when you come across the correct channel the mic will work - it's a bit of hit and miss affair although there are (?)3 channels specifically to do with a mic. Once you have this working then use pavucontrol to set the mic which now does not want to work. So, alsa first, pavucontrol next.

Wife sent me to the doctor to get the pills for me to have an erection.
When I came back I gave her the packet of slimming pills.
