And what does the "locked" state in the "monitor" page mean?

"Locked" means that a release request is pending ...

We usually wait for 7 days to have the 12.1-test update channel susbcribers
chance to test the update.

We have again a 12.1 test update channel? That's good news, please tell the world about it. It wasn't there when 12.1 was released...
