Re: [opensuse] 12.1 - konversation - no communication with IRC server after initial connection

Hi all,

I lately upgraded from 11.4 to 12.1. The upgrad was a reinstall but I kept
the homedirs (NFS share).

Now I can't chat on freenode, opensuse and flightgear IRC servers anymore.
The connection is established, I see the typical disclaimers, etc. etc.
etc. and then, when I type e.g. /join #opensuse, nothing happens. After a
while, konversation shows "no answer from server since ... seconds".
There is no error message or any hint.

Now, interesting enough, connection to Shadowfire work without problems.

Anybody any ideas?

Stefan,
try another irc freeenode channel like #opensuse-project, #opensuse-xxxxx. or
#suse

AFAIR, #opensuse channel is with invitation. So you will not get access to
#opensuse channel with no invitation.
