Do not attempt to use Yast to configure dovecot or imap. It will not work. Don't try to set up xinet for dovecot, and even less using yast for the purpose.


Setting up dovecot is almost trivial, but you have to do it manually. Forget Yast, except for the package download/install.

Obviously, if you are not sure of how to do it, you have to ask and wait for replies - and don't replace your working mail setup till the new setup works.
