One indication that there is still some problem is the fact that even
after a site has been downloaded (at least visible) the red cross is has

success.

if the page-opening process doesn't stop, that may indicate a network
problem on your end. some time ago when google servers were down,
many websites wouldn't stop downloading, sometimes not even show up
in the browser, if they were using google analytics--because they were
trying to contact those servers which didn't work.

re. other problems, like opera processes not terminating, you'll have to
talk to the opera lists. i'm not following that newsgroup closely, but know
that the topic is going on there. (check <news//news.opera.com:119>
with knode.)

an easy way to find and terminate processes that keep running is by
using top or htop, which you find in openSUSE's oss repo.s. good luck...
