Sure. I tried out all options.
Then I figured out that the last changes take place only on next rebooting
(X starting).
That's very misleading ... especially dealing with a laptop provided with the
touch-pad as well.

Did you try setting "Activate Mouse Wheel" in yast/mouse
properties?
