Hi!

I have an old MaxDATA PC a PIII 600 Mhz on an Asus CUBX Motherboard. The PC
has a Mitsumi FX4820 CD-Rom drive.

After installing OpenSUSE 10.3 the computer keeps ejecting any not ativly used
CD after a view Minutes. It seems to be possible to keep it from unmounting
and ejecting the CD by using the CD as the current working directoy, but as
this is a KDE PC where usually no console is used this is not a real
workaround.

The PC was running Windows 2000 before, where the problem did not occur. I
also had to force Linux to use ACPI, as the Bios claims not even to support
APM and the computer therefore wouldn't power off after shutdown. However the
CD problem existed before and still persists.

Regards,
Matthias
