[opensuse] USB Audio error after Kernel update, openSuSe 10.3!
Hi

I am using an external USB Bose Audio system on OpenSuSe 10.3.
Everything was working fine till I updated to the latest kernel
version :

Linux version 2.6.22.17-0.1-default (geeko@buildhost) (gcc version 4.2.1
(SUSE Linux)) #1 SMP 2008/02/10 20:01:04 UTC

using the yast online updater. But now if I play music I get a faint
cracking sound along with the music, which increases with my CPU usage.
Also, /var/log/messages gives me the following error everytime I start
my music player (Helix-Banshee) :

Mar 27 23:36:06 Ashoka kernel:
ALSA /usr/src/alsa-driver-1.0.16rc2/usb/usbaudio.c:1296: 2:1:1: cannot
get freq at ep 0x1

After looking around on net for a solution, I have updated my Alsa
driver to the latest version :

Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.16rc2.
Compiled on Mar 27 2008 for kernel 2.6.22.17-0.1-default (SMP).

but still no solution. I have configured my usb audio using the Yast
sound->Generic->USB audio.

Can somebody please guide me how to correct this problem?

Thanks in advance.

Abhinav
