2008/2/10, Ciro Iriarte <cyruspy@xxxxxxxxx>:

Just tried to access some ACPI info from my PC running 10.3 and the
shell just hangs there, is this usual (i assume it's not normal)

--------------------------------
mainwks:~> cat /proc/acpi/fan/FAN/state

--------------------------------
------------------------
mainwks:~ # cat /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/THRM/temperature

-----------------------

It never returns...

Other entries for fine:

----------------------
mainwks:~ # cat /proc/acpi/processor/C000/info
processor id: 0
acpi id: 0
bus mastering control: yes
power management: no
throttling control: no
limit interface: no
----------------------
----------------------
mainwks:~ # cat /proc/acpi/processor/C000/limit
<not supported>
----------------------

Ciro

I don't have this issue with 10.2@x86_64 running on my laptop...

------------
ciro@roamer:~> cat /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/THM/temperature
temperature: 53 C
-----------

Ciro
