I doubt it. 1TB drives have plunged in price in the last 6 months.
$/GB on sale can be as low as $/GB for a 500GB on sale.

Two 500 GB disks (or 750 at 11ms) is the cheapest option still. By a small
margin, true.

Now, I wonder if two disks is faster than a single disk :-?
