[opensuse] power button

Hi,

The powerbutton is simply ignored on my Toshiba Satellite A60 notebook
with openSuSE 10.2. With earlier versions of suse it worked nicely.
I did not change the original settings
(/etc/sysconfig/powersave/events: EVENT_BUTTON_POWER="wm_shutdown")
Any idea what might be the problem?

Also, recently (after 4 months of no problems beyond the above one) the
system began to simply not shut down at all sometimes:
'Start' menu --> Leave --> Shutdown Computer
has absolutely no effect. If I issues /sbin/poweroff, then the shutdown
procedure begins, but hangs at some random places, and I need to make a
hard reset.

Thanks
Daniel
