Here's what I got:

suillus:~ # mount -t cifs -o 
username=pwa,workgroup=deerfield //lactarius/ext-backup mnt
mount error: could not find target server. TCP name lactarius/ext-backup not 
found
No ip address specified and hostname not found

The first and second lines are really one.
