I'm using the one available at
<ftp://ftp.uni-kl.de/pub/linux/suse/update/10.2/>
and already had a bunch of updates for my installation of
openSUSE 10.2, e.g. Firefox, GPG or ImageMagick.

Definitely not. If you want to be notified for available
(official) updates, subscribe to the SUSE Security Announcements
