May I ask how you are trying to start Gnome?

There are no errors; it just starts to load, then crashes (I use command line "startx gnome --" to better see the output). Kde works fine.

There are no errors in .X.err, not in any other log I can think of.

(I'm using the open nv driver today)

I tried on a user that had never used gnome before, and it crashed as well; .X.err contains this:

Previously, I noticed that it complained of no speedo module, so I dissabled it from the config. Enabling it I see:

(EE) Failed to load module "speedo" (module does not exist, 0)

Otherwise, it crashes the same way as above. But I don't think it is a X error, as kde works fine.

¿Ideas?
