One of several that I've used is

/dev/hdc /media/hdc auto ro,noauto,user,exec 0 0

But note:

$ ls -ld /media/hdc
drwxrwxr-x 2 root cdrom 1024 2006-02-17 09:08 /media/hdc

People who are permitted to use the drive to burn opticals are entered
into the "cdrom" group.
