Anyone have used jengelib kernel:

kernel-default-2.6.18_rc1-jen27.i586.rpm ???

1) Which userspace programs will not work after update (apparmor for sure)? Which packages are required to make everything work again (typical desktop + LAMP + shorewall).

2) I am was unable to compile nvidia kernel module for kernel-default-2.6.18_rc1-jen27.i586.rpm. After "cloneconfig" and "make prepare" nvidia installer states that there are no version information. What's wrong?

thanks in advance

You need to also have the kernel source installed to be able to compile (anything). When you have the source installed, issue in the /usr/src/linux directory:

make cloneconfig and

make modules_prepare

after which you can compile the driver.
