Interesting...
but who will select what packages?

What is interesting to you may not be to me. I'm more into server right now, but am going toward user apps. You may be into Beagle and I may want MP3's. I would like to see an option for preselected sets such as server, with GUI. Not everyone is cli savvy.

I think you may be right, but the issue is who (whom) gets to chose? Suse did say they were going to support one window... but was it the one you wanted? If it's not, are you going to complain till you get your way? I must admit, the first time I saw how much "stuff" suse includes on the disks I was amazed... (back in 7.1 I think)

And, if I read your email right, this is all on the free version right? You compare this to Novell Server - the item that they have more time and $ invested in and charge more for? How can they stay in business if you ask this?

Interesting post. I'd like to see more...

(I gota ask- "The Nice Spider"?)
Thanks,
