Hi Greg,

Now it's possible to confirm the correct settings. If you have the manual that
came with the display, the correct frequencies are on (.pdf) page 9. You
should download it from the site that I linked to previously if you don't
have a copy.

From the main menu on your (KDE) desktop:

Select 'System' then 'Desktop Applet' then 'Resolution Switcher'.
When it loads in your taskbar, right-click on the icon and select 'Configure
Display Settings'. You'll be prompted for your root password and a SaX2 GUI
will open up. Use the following settings:

Dimensions: 19" diagonal (this is the viewable size)

Supported resolutions: 640x480 through 1280x1024 (VESA)

Supported frequencies:
Horizontal scan range: 24 to 80 kHz
Vertical refresh rate: 56 to 75 Hz
--> note: 60 is "preferred" and 75 supported, but 75 may be less sharp with
small fonts.

Color depth is 24-bit (a.k.a. "True Color", i.e. 16.7 Million colors)

This is all you should need to get the display working correctly. No "driver"
is necessary.

hth & regards,
