Update:
Apparently when I go through configure->make procedure with the source it did
compiled, despite warnings. However when I try using rpmbuild, it fails when I
get to
rpmbuild -bc SPECS/util-linux.spec

Any help would be appreciated.
Regards,
bill

here is error messages: (libblkid does exist on the system, and configure was
able to detect the library as well)
