I have never seen an automated reboot after updating the kernel. But the
OP problem is that the kernel will be updated, nevertheless, except that
he continues using the old kernel till he reboots (and reboot he must).
Nothing new there, of course. What he needs is some way to taboo the
kernel update while using rug.
