- You can restrict the information it sends on your
hardware and system to a minimum.

- You can just add a update source by hand, registration
is not required.

<susemirror>/pub/suse/update/10.1

for instance, use as source in Germany:
ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/suse/update/10.1/
