KBear has always been crashy for me too. From my experience, I'd strongly
endorse KFTPGrabber: http://kftpgrabber.sourceforge.net/ the 0.7.0-beta1 of
which is much more reliable than any version of KBear I have used and has a
more intuitive interface (IMO.)
