Hi, I am running 10, and I had a couple of questions regarding compiling a new kernel.

1.) Is there any way to just compile a default kernel. The reason is that I don't know what all is compiled in my current version and don't want to take any risks.

2.) Will this screw up my rpms? I think the kernel was installed as an rpm.
