Hey,

Try this out:

IF there is anything you want to save on the Windows partition, do so
first. After that, type mount

If you see the Windows partition mounted, as others have said, umount it.

after that, type this:

cfdisk

You'll see a screen showing all the partitions on your box, and then you
can delete the Windows partition, make a new one for Linux, and it's fairly
simple to use and much easier than the others.

If you don't want to do it from a command prompt, open YAST2 and use the
partition editor there to delete it. This should work fine.
