In the mail command you can add "-r root@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" to the
parameter list.

In the mailrc it looks like you should be able to do

set from root@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

to get the same effect
