Your problem is that XDM is not setup to accept access
via vnc...

Yast2->system->/etc/sysconfig Editor->Desktop->Displaymanager_Remote_Access
should be set to "Yes"

P.S. I don't know why it asks you for a password, it shouldn't we'll look
into this afterwards...
