Use apt-get and enable packman and packman-i686 in the repository.

apt-get install w32codec-all, version 20050115-0.pm.0.

Or, you could look at
ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/apt/SuSE/9.1-i386/RPMS.packman/w32codec-all-20050115-0.pm.0.i386.rpm

but, trying to install this one package will probably cause dependency problems.

I use packman stuff any where it is available for CD, DVD, anything audio and
anything video. I don't know who the guy is, but he does really great work.
