Hi Gil,

liblzo.so.1 is provided by SuSE package "lzo" (install via YaST/rpm)
This /isn't/ mentioned on packman's site as a "dependency"
<prerequisite,> but whenever rpm complains about a missing dependency
the first place you should look to fill it is your distribution.

libmp3lame.so.0 is provided by packman's lame-3.96.1-pm.1.x86_64.rpm
This /is/ listed as a dependency on packman's site. Note: If you want a
package to install, much less run, you /must/ install known
dependencies. Then ask the list for help if it something doesn't work.

libnspr4.so, libplc4.so, libplds4.so /and/ libxpcom.so come with Mozilla
or MozillaFirefox (hence one of these browsers is a prerequisite for
installing & using mplayerplug-in.)
- --> This one is a little more subtle because mplayerplug-in is /not/
required by MPlayer. However, rpm is attempting to discourage you from
installing mplayerplug-in because it doesn't realize you have one of the
two necessary browsers installed. I'm guessing here, so I apologize in
advance if I'm incorrect, but you want the plug-in because you've
installed Mozilla or Firefox and bypassed the rpm database in the process?

I highly recommend you invest some time learning the basics of rpm
(command line) or the YaST Install & Remove Software module (SuSE's gui
interface to rpm.) They're really great tools designed to help you
avoid inadvertently breaking your system.

regards,

- - Carl
